AVR, Rotterdam one of the largest WtE plants in Europe intall FuzEvent
AVR Afvalverwerkung B.V. a large plant operator in Holland has decided to install an optimization system based on the FuzEvent high level control system on one combustion line at one of the largest waste to energy plants in Europe. The plant located in Rozenburg outside Rotterdam is operating 7 combustion lines. AVR and Dublix Engineering A/S has agreed to implement the FuzEvent optimization system on one line with the nominal capacity of 25 ton waste/hour producing steam 370 DegC and 27 bar. AVR is known for its professional approach to optimizing of its combustion plants, they are constantly searching for new opportunities to operate its combustion systems more efficient. This project is based on many years of relations between Dublix Engineering personnel and AVR for similar projects. Based on a feasibility study held prior to the implementation, the performance goals was defined and used as the background for the implementation. The optimization project has the aim to increase the stability of the steam production and thereby establish the fundament for a higher level of production. This project is important for Dublix Engineering A/S as the use of the FuzEvent system on a large plant operating a number of combustion lines with more than 30 years of operation is considered particular interesting. The FuzEvent system is using the same rules and interactions with the process as the most skilled operators. On the AVR combustion lines the optimal operation is achieved during an proactive interaction to the process. The new optimized system at AVR is expected to be completed in the autumn 2007.For more information please contact Dublix Engineering A/S, Sales Director Asger Danielsen.
