Vejen CHP install two combustion grates.

Dublix Engineering A/S has Aug. 2007 supplied a major revamping job at Vejen CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plant located in the south of Jutland in Denmark. The job was critical due to a very tight time schedule available for the job. The work included a complete shift of two combustion grate sections based on high quality grate components from the Danish Company Thepa ApS (www.thepa.dk). In cooperation with the plant management the original grate design from 1991 was brought up to date in an innovative way. This project was initiated in order to improve the plant performance and to reduce the future manintenance cost. The improved operation shows a better control of the primary air distribution, increased pressure drop over the grates and much better sealing all around the combustion grate perimeter. The client, Dong Energy A/S has expressed their satisfaction with the work including the project management, quality and succeding follow-up.
