Large contract for Dublix replacing 2 complete grate combustion lines at Sita UK WtE Plant

the project includes:


  • Complete removal of the two existing "Vølund grate runs"

  • Installation of 5 grate sections on each line based on the new S-Type 3 grate from SARETCO

  • Commissioning and performance test of the new combustion system

  • 20.000 hour 100% maintenace contract following start-up

The project shall be executed during two periods; spring and autumn 2011.

This project constitute a major step on the UK marked for Dublix Engineering and is a landmark for the new S-Type 3 grate which is providing features competing with any modern grate technology including:


  • Very high alloy precision without any need for machining after production

  • Full control of the air distribution throughout the full operation period

  • Fast maintenance with 70 % less time for grate carpet exchange

  • Low level of riddling down with 80-90 %

  • Minimal aluminum passing through the grate surface 

  • Optimizing the air distribution through the grate carpet

The new S-Type 3 grate is already successfully in operation on 3 plants in France, and 3 plants in Denmark.
