Tyseley

Tyseley ERF plant operated by Veolia ES Birmingham Limited, is a member of Veolia UK group (ref.: http://www.veoliaenvironmentalservices.co.uk/pages/int_energyrecovery.asp), Tyseley ERF is a Brittish waste-to-energy plant, operating 3 combustion lines (one hospital waste processing line and two municipal waste combustion lines with Steinmüller grates).

The Tyseley ERF Plant has obtained more than 40% increase in steam flow stability now with the FuzEvent Installed on 2 combustion lines optimizing the operation in High Level Control Mode at a runfactor of more than 95%.

The FuzEvent Installation High-Level Control by FuzEvent
The FuzEvent system is installed on the two municipal waste combustion lines with an annual capacity of around 350.000 ton waste.
The aim for the optimization project was to improve the combustion stability and thereby to increase the overall capacity of the plant.
The optimization project was initiated October 2009 based on a feasibility study carried out by Dublix Engineering in order define the opportunity to increase the capacity on the plant.
The FuzEvent optimization project was successfully commissioned and operating on-line controlling the combustion process already in January 2010 after 2,5 month of project implementation. The results of the optimizad operation is an extensive increased stability in the steam production and providing assistance round the clock to the operators in the operation by reducing the needs for interacting in the process control.

The Tyseley WtE plant is located near the city center of Birmingham City.Tyseley, Birmingham ERF
