Plant Operation:
- Low efficiency: you want your plant to produce more steam/electricity
- Plant shutdowns too frequent, too long and/or unplanned shutdown
- Equipment bottlenecks caused by the size of the fans/boiler/flue gas cleaning etc.
Furnace Operation:
- Unstable operation, typically visible in the steam production fluctuation and/or variation of temperature in the combustion chamber
- Too much need for operator intervention on the control

- Too much riddlings falling in the collecting hoppers, forcing frequent cleaning
- Frequent sole plate cracks, needing repairs during planned stops
Boiler Operation:
- Inefficient boiler operation
- Too high fluegas temperature into the boiler
- Too high fluegas temperature before the convection parts
- Too high fluegas temperature out of the boiler, forcing a reduction in incineration capacity
- High CO or NOx emissions
