Waste-to-energy boilers are cleaned on-line with a water-jet. The self-propelled turning nozzle is introduced through the ceiling of the radiation passes of the boiler. It is hanging on a flexible hose which is unrolled from a drum above the boiler. The turning water jet increases the cleaning efficiency and reduces water consumption.
The FuzEvent® System is the ultimate operator assistant. The starting point for the design is to apply the same behavior as the best operators and thereby achieve unique results when it reacts correctly 24/7. It is an easy solution for improving the performance of existing plants.
The upgraded version of the classcial Volund grate leads to reduced riddlings, improved combustion air distribution and extended operation time. Furthermore: Engineered solutions, upgrades and renewal of combustion grates of various original equipment manufacturers.
Steam injection through secondary air nozzles improves the quality of the combustion. CO formation is drastically reduced through better mixing with supersonic steam. Thus, secondary air flow can can be reduced leading to a decrease of flue gas O2, flue gas flow and pressure drop over the flue gas path.
Chlorine containing fuels lead to increased fouling and corrosion in waste-to-energy boilers. Sulfur based products are injected through the secondary air nozzles. This leads to a chasing of chlorides from the fly ash even before they are sticking to the boiler tubes. The fundamental chemistry: Chlorides on fly ashes + SO3 ---> sulfates on fly ash + HCL.
DX-Wave™ - Automated pressure wave cleaning system
In many cases, manual explosion cleaning is needed for sufficient availability and service time of WtE boilers. DX-Wave is a very robust pressure wave cleaning method based on automated micro-explosions. Typically, it is installed at the critical positions of the boiler to avoid manual explosion cleaning.
