Located near Krakow, Poland, the Zakład Termicznego Przekształcania Odpadów WtE plant is a modern facility with 2 identical incineration lines, each of which is designed to produce 40 t/h of superheated steam at 420 °C and 38 bar. Each line burns, on average, 14 t/h of municipal solid waste. The produced steam is used to generate electricity and is also supplied to a local district heating system.
The furnace-and-boiler system was supplied by Doosan Lentjes and consists of a combustion zone with 3 grates fed by a ram and an integrated boiler with 3 passes, 5 superheaters, and 5 economizers. Flue gas from the boiler is cleaned by a system comprising a semi-dry reactor, a dry reactor, and a bag filter.

Based on the FuzEvent technology, the Dublix solution will ensure high-level combustion control.

With this solution in place, operators will receive ongoing support needed to improve combustion stability and maximize waste treatment capacity at this plant.

Dublix completed this project in the spring  of 2023.
